The fast growing NDT service offering from TCR Engineering is looking for a API 653 tank inspector with level II radiography, and level II UT-Shear certification. The qualified candidate will be certified as a Level II in RT with several years experience in the inspection. Experience and or certification in MT and PT is highly desired. The candidate must be able to prepare test reports and co-ordinate with the client as required. Previous pipe inspection experiences a plus.
The NDT Level II inspector shall have the skills and knowledge to set up and calibrate equipment, to conduct tests, and to interpret, evaluate, and document results in accordance with procedures approved by the NDT Level III with respect to applicable codes, specifications, and standards. The level II shall be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the test method and shall exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job (OJT) training and guidance of trainees and Level I personnel.
Main responsibilities:
Promote and participate within safety & quality solutions teams. Professionally communicate with customers. Develop new techniques and review current technologies. Submit Techniques for approval by applicable NDT Level III. Organize and report the results of the radiographic test. Interpret results of test to various specifications and standards. Have basic knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology.
Requirements:
API 653 certification with NDT level II radiography, and level II UT-Shear certification. Additional API and CWI certs welcome. Petro-chem experience a plus. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, desktop applications, and electronic mail programs are absolutely essential.
