To fuel our continuing growth, we are in search of qualified applicants for a Quality Inspection Engineer who has extensive background in quality engineering and inspection. He/She must have the ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
The candidate will perform inspection on forgings, complex machined parts, castings, weldments and assemblies per blueprint, manufacturing outline, and customer requirements. He/She will be comfortable "hands=on" using Dial Vernier, jigs and gauges as necessary to measure thickness, diameter, length, width etc, Radius Measuring device (digital) to determine exact radius as well as a Angle measuring device to measure angles. He/She should be able to measure an angle by laying it out on a table and using a protractor with a sine bar. He/She should be also comfortable using Micrometers, vernier caliper, height gauge, dial gauge set up, pillar gauge, radius gauges, angle gauge, CMM and shadowgraph.
The job may involve travel within the India and abroad requiring some periods of being several days away from the base location. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and ensure TCR's QA standards are never compromised. Capable of cross-training department personnel to perform job functions in various testing areas.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years inspection experience in an manufacturing environment. Reasoning and problem solving skills, along with good verbal and written communications skills are needed. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, desktop applications, and electronic mail programs are absolutely essential. Ability to correspond via E-Mail and safely manage and protect company given assets such as laptop, engineering tools and other equipment. Technical degree in electrical, mechanical or metallurgical fields is a plus. Ability to perform job functions with little or no supervision. The job will involve travel within the India requiring periods of being several days away from the base location. Ability to honestly and accurately file expense reports and manage given travel schedule.
