What can you do as part of RoHS Testing?
We undertake RoHS testing using both the screening method (an NDT method) using portable XRF as well as the verification method using our ICP. Do let me know the number of parts and locations where you want us to undertake RoHS testing. Following your reply we will quote you.
As part of RoHS we can perform tests for Cadmium, Chromium, Lead and Mercury. Testing for RoHS requires 5 grams of the sample, if done by the verification method. TCR undertakes RoHS testing non-destructively using a Portable XRF, which can screen for all five restricted RoHS elements within seconds (viz: Hg, Cd, Cr, Br and Pb). TCR also provides a non-destructive, in-situ screening method for PVC, PE, alloys, metals, solders, ceramics and packaging materials. An ICP will be used where verification is required. Our facilities allow both screening and verification methods.
The cost will be Rs. 1000 per sample, plus a mandatory 12.24% service tax.

Can you undertake ROHS analysis of UPVC window profiles?
We can check your product for ROHS compliance by XRF method. Our charges will depend on Number of samples submitted by you. For small quantity (<10) our charges will be Rs. 400/- per specimen + 12.24% Service Tax.

Can you undertake RoHS Compliance Tests for Analog PBX, Digital PBX, GSM Gateways and VoIP Gateways?
We are glad to inform you that we do undertake above job by using both XRF (Non Destructive screening technique) and destructive chemical analysis by ICP / AAS Techniques. One has to use chemical analysis route if XRF test is not conclusive (i.e. when results are on the border line). Our charges for various tests are as under:
- XRF Analysis at our Lab: Rs. 20,000/- per day and during this time we may be able to scan upto 200 locations. If No. of locations exceed one day’s job, we have to charge for an extra day.
- Verification by Chemical Analysis: Rs. 500/- for 1st element and Rs. 300/- for each additional element per sample
- Outstation Visits: Cost of travel by AIR / IInd AC (for overnight journy), local transportation and lodging & boarding extra at actuals. This is possible for XRF analysis only.
- Service Tax @12.24% is extra

Can you conduct RoHS testing for hologram stickers?
Hologram Stickers contains Polyester Film Coatings, metlizing, PSA Adhesive Coating which is laminated on a paper. We can certainly check your Hologram for RoHS compliance using X-Ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy and our charges will be quoted on a per piece / per location basis. In case of border line results, you may need to verify by WET Method such as ICP which we can recommend only after having performed the XRF analysis.
