The NDT Liquid Penetrant Test (PT) Level II training course, taught at TCR Institute for Materials Technology in Navi Mumbai, India, will provide theory lectures and practical training to provide the candidate with an understanding of liquid penetrant test. The course will encourage group discussions around practical problems and provide field expertise on how to resolve them. At the end of this course the candidate will be able to perform various magnetic particle tests. The course will cover -
- Basic principles on effects of liquid penetration.
- Understanding ASTM / ASME standards and specifications
- Inspection, instrumentation and calibration of tools and equipment.
- Inspection and measurement of samples.
- Methods and types of liquid penetration.
- Testing samples using various liquid penetration methods.
- Retaining sample to original state after testing
- Interpreting results based on ASTM / ASME standards and specifications
At the end of the course candidate will be appearing for a Level II exam. Each candidate will be a certified NDT PT Level II Engineer upon successfully clearing the exam.

Pre-requisites
Candidate should be NDT - PT Level I Certified or possess a diploma or degree level education.
Candidates should pay all fees in advance of 2 weeks before beginning of the course. All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Failure to show up for the course will result in forfeiture of the fees for that examination or course. If an examination application is received and the applicant is found to be unqualified to take the examination, a refund will be issued less an administrative fee of Rs.500 per applicant.
No refunds will be made for applicants who require certification once again. All requests for transfers or cancellations must be submitted in writing to TCR Institute for Materials Technology and be signed by the person registered for the examination or course. A signed fax transmittal is acceptable.
Exams:
The examination will be in accordance with ASNT Std. SNT-TC-1A by ASNT Level III Professional.
Candidates are encouraged to bring an electronic calculator. Programmable calculators are permitted as long as it does not have an alphanumeric keyboard. No other books, paper, or charts will be allowed.
Candidates are permitted to use a translation dictionary. No electronic dictionaries will be allowed.
Candidates should plan to arrive at the examination site at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled examinations. No one will be admitted after an examination has started.
Candidates will receive results immediately after the exam at the end of the training. For certification related training courses, candidates will receive their certificates 1-2 week after the exam. Candidates who fail to achieve a passing score will require appearing for the exam again.

This course is a non-residential program. Participants are required to arrange for lodging, transportation and meals.
