Viren Khandwala

Background and experience

Viren Chandrasen Khandwala is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years in accountancy and taxation. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from Bombay University in 1988 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in 1995.

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant, completed 1995; B.Com, Bombay University, 1988.
• Experience: over 25 years in accountancy and taxation.
• Articleship: three years with Lovelock & Lewes, Bombay, then affiliated with Coopers & Lybrand Deloitte.
• At TCR: Consultant since 1999, appointed to the Board of Directors in 2014.
• Beyond TCR: lectures on wills, investment for senior citizens, and budget proposals.

His early career included a three-year articleship with Lovelock & Lewes Chartered Accountants in Bombay, then affiliated with Coopers & Lybrand Deloitte (now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers). After his articleship, he continued with the firm as a Junior Assistant for two years, gaining a solid foundation in accounts, audits, and income tax.

Since joining TCR Engineering as a Consultant in 1999, Mr. Khandwala has shaped the company’s financial strategy. In 2014, he was appointed to the Board of Directors, where he brings his expertise in accountancy, audit, and taxation to the forefront of TCR’s leadership. His knowledge of financial systems and regulatory compliance underpins TCR’s governance as the company grows.

Beyond TCR, Mr. Khandwala advises the wider business community. He has been invited to lecture on wills, investment opportunities for senior citizens and budget proposals at SGBMM and the Rotary Club, as part of his work on financial literacy.
