Overview

TCR Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd. is the first Indian group with two of its own laboratories separately accredited by Nadcap for Materials Testing under AC7101: TCR Engineering at Mahape, Navi Mumbai under PRI certificate 29415245997, and TCR Advanced Engineering at Makarpura, Vadodara under PRI certificate 29227245998. Both are valid to 31 May 2027, both hold the identical accredited scope, and both are listed on the eAuditNet Qualified Manufacturers List.

The accredited scope

The Nadcap AC7101 scope is identical at both laboratories. It covers mechanical testing, metallography and microindentation hardness, macro hardness and electrical conductivity, standard specimen machining, and the proficiency testing requirements that apply to every accredited laboratory.

Nadcap AC7101 accredited scope, identical at both TCR laboratories
Audit criteriaCategoryAccredited at both laboratories
AC7101/3Mechanical testingRoom-temperature tensile, elevated-temperature tensile, impact, bend testing
AC7101/4Metallography and microindentation hardnessMetallographic evaluation, microindentation interior, surface case depth, near-surface alpha case on wrought titanium, carburisation and decarburisation, grain size
AC7101/5Hardness testing, macroBrinell, Rockwell, Vickers, electrical conductivity inspection
AC7101/7Specimen preparationStandard specimen machining
AC7101/14Proficiency testingProficiency testing and internal round-robin requirements

Two capabilities in that scope carry particular weight in aerospace manufacturing. Near-surface alpha case evaluation on wrought titanium detects the oxygen-enriched brittle layer that forms when titanium is worked or heat treated in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Electrical conductivity inspection confirms the temper condition of aluminium alloys after heat treatment. Both are accredited at both sites.

TCR holds AC7101 Materials Testing only. It does not hold and does not claim AC7102 Heat Treatment. Both certificates record the laboratory type as Independent.

The accredited facilities

Two separately accredited laboratories, roughly four hundred kilometres apart, holding the same Nadcap AC7101 scope under separate Performance Review Institute certificates.

  • TCR Engineering Services Pvt. Ltd. VKB House, Plot No. EL-182, MIDC-TTC Industrial Area, Electronic Zone, Mahape, Navi Mumbai 400710, Maharashtra, India. PRI certificate 29415245997, valid to 31 May 2027.
  • TCR Advanced Engineering Private Limited. 250-252/9, GIDC, Makarpura, Vadodara 390010, Gujarat, India. PRI certificate 29227245998, valid to 31 May 2027.

Both accreditations can be verified independently on the eAuditNet Qualified Manufacturers List.

Questions journalists ask

What exactly is TCR accredited for?

Nadcap AC7101 Materials Testing Laboratories, at two separate facilities. TCR Engineering Services at Navi Mumbai holds PRI certificate 29415245997 and TCR Advanced Engineering at Vadodara holds PRI certificate 29227245998. Both are valid to 31 May 2027 and both hold the identical scope.

Does TCR hold Nadcap accreditation for heat treatment?

No. TCR holds AC7101 Materials Testing only. It does not hold and does not claim AC7102 Heat Treatment, performs no heat treating and manufactures no aerospace parts. Both certificates record the laboratory type as Independent, which is what keeps verification separate from process.

How can a journalist verify the accreditation independently?

Both accreditations are listed on the eAuditNet Qualified Manufacturers List at eauditnet.com, searchable by certificate number. Both certificates are also reproduced in full on this page.

Is Nadcap audited differently in India?

No. Nadcap is administered by the Performance Review Institute against a single global set of audit criteria. There is no national variant and no concession for location. The audit examines calibration currency, operator qualification for each specific method, specimen geometry against the standard, and measured performance in international proficiency testing.

Who should I speak to for a technical interview?

Avinash Tambewagh, Technical Head, for test methods and laboratory operations. Dr. Ajay Essampally, Senior Metallurgist and Head of Quality Assurance, for the audit itself and the quality management system. Rohit Bafna, President, for group strategy and supply-chain questions. Interviews are arranged through pr@tcreng.com.

May I use the images and certificates on this page?

Yes, for editorial use in connection with coverage of this announcement, with the credit shown in the image usage note inside the press kit archive. Please match the logo variant to your background, and please do not place one entity's certificate number against the other entity's logo.
